Terms of Service
By creating an account or logging in to synchronize notes via ThinkNote, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to ThinkNote. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ThinkNote mobile application and synchronization services. If you do not agree to all provisions within these Terms, please do not use the sync features or register an account.
2. Description of the Service
ThinkNote is a modern notes utility. We provide an offline-first typing screen with on-device SQLite storage, combined with an automated online sync service that updates your notes, organized folders, and custom tags across registered login devices using Firebase Authentication and our secure backend API.
3. User Responsibilities
You are entirely responsible for the content you author inside ThinkNote. You agree that your structured notes, tags, and titles do not violate copyrights, trademarks, or contain illegal material. We do not inspect your encrypted local notes, nor do we monitor or review notes synced to the backend unless compelled by legitimate judicial commands.
4. Account Security
Account authentication and logins are secured using Firebase Authentication. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and setting robust passwords. You must immediately notify our team if you detect unauthorized access or suspect a security compromise on your current email credential.
5. Notes and User Content
Your thoughts remain yours. You retain absolute ownership of the contents, documents, tags, and checklists that you author within the ThinkNote utility. By enabling active synchronization, you grant us a limited, worldwide license to host, replicate, and transmit your data solely to execute the synchronization features you request.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to bypass, hack, or overload our API nodes, or exceed reasonable rate limit structures. You must not attempt to decrypt other users' packets or run malicious automated scrapers against the server. Failure to comply with acceptable-use restrictions may result in immediate account termination.
7. Service Availability
We strive to maintain highly reliable syncing platforms. However, because ThinkNote operates on an offline-first foundation, service delivery may fluctuate depending on network availability. Sync features are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis without guarantees of uninterrupted server connectivity. We are not liable for transient sync delays or loss of notes due to client-side hardware destruction.
8. Limitation of Liability
Under no circumstances shall ThinkNote, its developers, or its contributors be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use the sync platform, hardware losses, or security compromises arising outside of our reasonable technical control.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any updates will be pushed directly to this page and will become active as of the posted Effective Date. Continued use of active synchronization services signifies your acceptance of the updated rules.
